Worm Control

A heavy worm burden can be the cause of many healthy issues for horses, particularly young, developing stock.

We pay carefully attention to parasite control and engage our vet to conduct regular faecal egg counts to determine the prevalence of worm burden in our horses and prescribe targeted treatments.  The methodology behind the egg counts ensures that we are only drenching horses that require treatment, thus minimizing the growing problem of parasite resistance, which is promoted by overuse of worming compounds.
